“In the beginning was the word
followed by magic
and war.”
Firestar
After two hundred years of war, the Saline Realm emerged victorious, and the six outer realms abandoned their ambition to end the nation of Salia. In the peace that followed, Salia’s chief instrument of calamity attained a new title and a last name, but the leaders of the land he served feared his power and plotted against him. Opposed and scorned, Darrio wondered if there would ever be a place in the world he helped scar. Would he forever be the monster he felt forced to become, or would he someday find salvation as a human being torn apart by conflict? Find the answer on this epic journey of redemption and discover what it means to be a destroyer.
The Series
Volume 1

I will not be alone.
The Magic War was finally over, and though a principal agent to the Saline Realm’s triumph, Darrio returned with bitterness and grief. With the leaders of Salia plotting against him, Darrio is faced with a difficult situation as he decides how to answer a world that fears him. Schemes are made and shadows of the past emerge in this first entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 2

I will not be destroyed.
The indomitable will of the Legion was legendary and a common source of pride for every Firan in the Burning Realm. The specter of the Great Beast, however, struck fear in the heart of everyone who felt it. What did his rumored return mean after fifty years of relative peace? Weakness is revealed and honor is tested in this second entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 3

I will not be stopped.
Everyone knew coin was king in the Stony Realm, but Jayne suspected nefarious forces were behind the ebb and flow of commerce. Could they ever be removed, and how would the Commonwealth react to their absence? In a system aimed at enriching those in control, a peacekeeper is put on the path of revolution. Watch the spark ignite in this third entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 4

I will not be afraid.
The dense forests of the Garden were a haven of promise to the clans of the Hollow Realm, and most lived with clarity and communion despite the consequences of war. A new wind now flows through the branches and picks up strange leaves in its wake. Does the Terror’s arrival bring new growth? Revelations abound in this fourth entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 5

I will not be consumed.
Alchemy was the premier power of the Silent Realm, an art of progress and change that illustrated one immutable truth. Anything worth pursuing required sacrifice, but beneath the veneer of sophistication was something abominable. Forces within and without converge, and an entire realm is transformed. See it all unfold in this fifth entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 6

I will not be ignored.
The Crown and Church were institutions of guidance meant to protect and serve the people, but both were corrupted by ignorance and vice. A young king hopes to reform the kingdoms, but can he accomplish anything before the end? Deals will be made, and the Unknowable will make his move. Witness the end of an era in this sixth entry of the epic fantasy series.
Volume 7

I will not be overcome.
Stability and order reigned under the benevolent leader. Humanity had never known such a long-lasting peace, but hidden interests sought a relic with the power to change everything. With two mercenaries caught in an old conspiracy, an enforcer is activated to protect the world. Who will prevail? Find out in this seventh entry of the epic fantasy series.

About the Author
David Harrell is half human, half machine, and half demon who just happens to live in Missouri. He is also the author and writer of the epic fantasy series Firestar and a father of three. When he’s not writing, he’s either being accosted by his children, watching random videos on the internet, working his totally normal and boring day job, or pondering moral dilemmas and existential issues in games and life.
What’s Next?
With the seventh volume done, there are only two books left before the end of it all, but is that really the end? I don’t think so. There are so many stories to tell within this universe, more than I have the ability to write myself, but choosing what to explore next is part of the fun. Before I get ahead of myself, however, I still need to finish what I have. My notes for the penultimate entry are set out before me. I won’t provide spoilers here, but I will say this. Things are going to get crazy.
